Bengaluru: Star India’s Kannada Entertainment Channel, Star Suvarna, under the leadership of its New Business Head Sai Prasad is gearing up for a show down in Kannada GEC market that is already witnessing the channel war between the stakeholders Colors Kannada, Zee Kannda and Udaya TV.
Star Suvarna is has jumped in to the war with the announcement of auditions for the new season of its Popular reality format ‘Pyate Hudgir Halli Lifeu’ (PHHL). The show that has completed 3 seasons successfully is set for the fourth season.
Previous seasons which was aired in 2010, 2011 and 2014 was a huge attractions amongst the college going youngsters as this is a unique format show that prompts 12 girls from city have to live in a village for 3 and a half months. The contestants must leave their luxurious lives and survive in a village where each day is filled with tasks and other survival skill based activities.
During the first two seasons of Pyate Hudgir Halli Lifeu, the show was considered as one of the channel driver that guided Star Suvrna to numerous position in Kannada GEC market. Presently, the channel is at the bottom of the charts despite its efforts in past couple of months and it is desperately trying to revive its fortune by refurbishing its content line-up. Revisiting Pyate Hudgir Halli Lifeu format is considered as one among its coordinated initiative to attract the audience towards the channel.
The auditions for the selection of 12 female contestants for PHHL with perfect urban background will be held on 11th February at 9:00 AM onwards at Maharani Lakshmi Ammanni College for Women, Malleshwaram in Bengaluru City.
