Mumbai: Star Plus is set to launch a new historic fantasy series Arambh by early 2017 that is based on the centuries old drama of tussle between Dravidians and Aryans with Indus Valley Civilisation era as its backdrop.
Aarambh is being produced by Shristi Arya owned Production house Rose Audio Visuals that produced shows like Lipstick and Reporters in the past. Aarambh is going to be infinite series which will consist of 100 episodes and will be directed by famous director Goldie Behl and it will be filmed on a grand scale with opulent sets and outdoor shoots.
The main lead of Aarambh will include popular actor Rajneish Duggal on male front while actress Karthika Nair on the female front. Rajneish Duggal has been former Mr. India and is known as acclaimed actor and Karthika Naira acted in few south Indian movies and is daughter of famous South actress Radha.
Aarambh is expected to go on-air in early 2017 and the timeslot of the show is yet to be finalized. yesteryears’ renowned Bollywood actress Tanuja Mukherjee is all set to make her small screen debut on ‘Aarambh’. However, the details of her character and her role in the show are yet to be revealed.
Aarambh will take the audience back in the era of the Aryans and Dravidians. K.V. Vijayendra Prasad who has written scripts for blockbuster Bollywood movies like ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ and ‘BajrangiBhaijaan’ is penning the story for the show.
It is understood that the writer Vijayendra Prasad has worked hard to get the minutest of details right by engrossing himself with hard-core research.
