Star India ropes in Gautam Thakar as the CEO of Star Sports

Mumbai: Star India has roped in Gautam Thakar in place of Nitin Kukreja, as the new CEO of Star Sports. Nitin Kukreja has left Star India in March 2017 to join IQuest.

Gautam Thakar will be assuming his new assignment with Star Sports starting from 15th January 2018. He is currently associated with investment firm Revolution LLC that is based out of Washington DC.

In his career spanning around 20 years, Thakar was associated with eBay for more than 10 years in various functions. Prior to that he was associated P&G in India, shopping.com, LivingSocial etc. He is an MBA from IIM, Lucknow.
