Spinny launched its campaign where it humanises cars, highlighting how they have a personality and an identity of their own and are a treasure trove of memories. The campaign comes on the heels of the one featuring cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and his car ‘Sundae’ and looks to take from the narrative there.
The campaign features two cars – the fat red car, and DL 6556 from Delhi. The first film narrates how the fat red car, a true Bangalorean, finds a new home in Ooty and is loving the buttery roads, and all its new experiences in the hill town – the idyllic life, the crisp Nilgiri air and the sprawling tea gardens. In all of this, the fat red car does take a moment or two to appreciate and admire himself in his new setting.
The second film showcases DL 6556 – a Delhiite in and out. He has seen the lanes and bylanes of the capital city and knows more about the city than most. He has seen the popular haunts of Connaught Place and knows where you get the best gol-gappas in town. It has cheered the blue skies of Delhi and the chilly November air. It knows the best tailor tucked away in Sarojini Market and it knows the right places to buy whatever you want – be it shoes and bags or books.

Niraj Singh, CEO and Founder, Spinny, said, “The campaign is all about celebrating cars, that play a part big and small, humble yet meaningful. Starting with Sachin’s Sundae, to Delhi’s DL 6556 and The Fat Red Car from Ooty, the campaign weaves together the significant roles a car plays in our lives.”
In a tribute to the Cricket World Cup 2023, Spinny also released a film weaving images after India’s 2011 World Cup victory when fans took to the streets to celebrate.
