The following are the performance of various GECs in respective market as per the ratings of week 45:
TN Market:
Week 45 haven’t seen a major change in viewership pattern of TN market, However the top GEC current week has witnessed mild drop in GRP. While there is no major change in overall viewership the considerable drop in GRPs of Sun TV and Vijay TV might have occurred due to the on-going India Vs Srilanka Cricket tournamnet.
During the week 45 Sun TV as usual stood as a strong No. 1 despite losing 68 GRP with a total tally of 1264. Vijay TV has lost 58 GRP with a tally of 362. KTV was the only surprise gainer with 86 GRP moving its tally from 369 to 455. All others didn’t see any major change as Polimer TV stood with 129 GRP, while Raj TV and Kalaignar TV tally stood at 120 GRP each, followed by Jaya TV and Zee Tamizh with 106 GRP each.
AP Market :
AP market didn’t see any change in overall viewership pattern during week 45. However, there was an order change among the top GECs in AP market due to a major gain posted by Gemini TV.
Maa TV retained its No.1 position despite losing 18 GRP with a total tally of 556, on the other hand Gemini TV became No.2 with a whooping gain of 57 GRP that tallies to 549. Zee Telugu dropped down to No.3 position with a loss of 38 GRP totalling to 501 GRP. while ETV stood unchanged at No.4 with same GRP tally of 486
Karnataka Market :
Suvarna’s trouble kept mounting as the channel witnessed further drop of 65 GRP in week 45 as the tally of the channel has fallen from 351 GRP in week 44 to 286 in Week 45. Earlier the channel lost 39 GRP in previous week ratings (from 391 to 351 week over week) and dropped down to No.3 position)
Udaya TV remained at No. 1 position with 556 GRP without seeing any major change in week 45, while ETV Kannada firmed up its No.2 position with 386 GRP. Zee Kannada remained at No 4 with a tally of 211 GRP and Kasthuri TV scored 49 GRP.
Kerala Market :
Kerala market witnessed an overall growth of 10% increase that resulted in increase of GRPs of all Malayalam GECs. Asianet is witnessing continues growth by the virtue of the performance pf its new fiction show “Karuthamuthu” @ 10 PM slot which is posting a tremendous week by week growth,
Asianet gained 112 GRP to grow from a tally of 933 in week 44 to 1045 in week 45. Surya TV stood at a very distant No.2 with 300 GRP which includes a gain of 22 GRP in week 45. followed by Mazhavil Manorama at No.3 with a tally of 245 GRP (gain 19 GRP) while Kairali TV stood at No. 4 with 92 GRP and Amirtha TV posted a tally of 47 GRP.
