Mumbai: Netflix India has hit a marketing masterstroke by featuring Sourav Ganguly in a hilarious and unexpected avatar for its upcoming crime thriller ‘Khakee: The Bengal Chapter’. The promotional film, created in partnership with Trailer Park Group, brilliantly blends humor, nostalgia, and Ganguly’s iconic cricketing legacy to engage audiences ahead of the show’s release.
The promo opens with Sourav Ganguly barging onto the set of Khakee: The Bengal Chapter, eager to play a fierce police officer. Initially struggling to bring out raw aggression, he finally taps into his fiery cricketing past—particularly his infamous clash with Greg Chappell—to deliver a convincing performance. As the scene unfolds, Ganguly even jokes about taking down criminals with his signature cover drive, cut, and pull, proving that his dominance over the off-side extends beyond cricket.
