This 29th July, ‘Baba’ will be 60 years old and to celebrate his birthday, Sony MAX2, Hindi movie channel from Sony Pictures Networks will air his blockbuster movie, Vaastav on Monday, 29th July. Sanjay Dutt tasted success in 1999 when he wooed the audience on screen with his performance as a bad boy in Vaastav, after which there was no looking back. Directorial debut of Mahesh Majrekar, Vaatsav was the run-of-the-mill movie of that year.
This movie deep dives into the underworld after unfortunate circumstances force a chawl boy, Raghu (Sanjay Dutt) to become Raghu bhai as he enters into the domain of alcohol, drugs, extortion and murders. With the entire Mumbai under his control, Raghu bhai falls in love with a prostitute, Sonu (Namrata Shirodkar). Hooked to underworld, Raghu gets sucked deeper into the mire. Finally, there comes a time when the entire world turns against him and he has to pay the deeds of his all wrong doings.
