Mumbai: Sony MAX, Hindi movies channel from Sony Pictures Networks brings the world television premiere of ‘Chef’ on 16th February at 8pm. Chef, portrays the beautiful father-son duo chemistry with Saif Ali Khan and Svar Kamble’s commendable acting skills that will make you emotional as you witness a father reignite his passion for food while being more present in his son’s life.
Directed by Raja Krishna Menon, this is an official remake of the Hollywood film, Chef where Saif Ali Khan plays top chef Roshan Kalra who loses his job at a plush restaurant in New York. Forced to take a break, he flies to Kochi to spend time with his son, Armaan, played by Svar Kamble and his estranged wife Radha Menon played by, Padmapriya. It surprisingly turns out to be a fruitful trip because he manages to mend broken family ties and begin afresh.
Commenting on the premiere Saif Ali Khan said, “I have always respected chefs. At home also, my father would make sure to tell the chef that he/she has done a good job. But yes, when you step into their shoes, you become more aware of it. I feel a connection now. They are truly artistic but we do take them for granted sometimes. Most of the time, like music in the restaurants, people don’t even clap for chefs. It is unfair.”
