Mumbai: Sony BBC Earth in association with the esteemed Nehru Science Centre hosted a first of its kind, on-ground ‘Science Film Festival’. The three-week long festival, which ended on 28th September, showcased Sony BBC Earth’s science-based content strength to the young minds of various schools across Mumbai.
The festival hosted over 1500 students and included various episodes from three spectacular science-based series namely – ‘Bang goes theory’, ‘Secrets of Everything’ and ‘Factomania’. The series showcase a hands-on approach to test scientific theories, help find answers to some of life’s weirdest science questions and analyze several theories based on experiments.
Sony BBC Earth is known for its informative yet entertaining content ranging from fun science, engineering, manufacturing, space, astronomy, nature, adventure and wildlife, and Nehru Science Centre is known to host the most renowned science-related events and fairs. Together, the two powerhouses engaged and inspired the students, captivated their minds and ignited their curiosity to discover some amazing and unheard facts about science.
This was the second collaboration between India’s premium infotainment channel and India’s largest interactive science center and the two plan to host many more screenings and events for the young minds of the country.
