National: Social Pill’s AI-driven approach created a custom GPT to assist advertisers in reducing the time taken to submit self-declaration forms for ads from 10-15 minutes to about 3 minutes. By uploading the ad creative, the tool automatically reads and provides the required information for the ads.
The Ministry of Information Broadcasting now mandates that all advertisements from June 18, 2024, must include a self-declaration in outdoor, print, TV, and digital media.
The process involves obtaining a letter of authorization (LOA) from the client to apply for self-declaration, confirming that all communicated ad information is truthful and complies with MIB’s ethical guidelines. This presents a challenge for digital agencies producing numerous daily ads on platforms such as Google and Meta.
Neelesh R Pednekar, Co-Founder & Head to Digital Media mentioned, “We anticipated the ambiguity and chaos that could come along with the implementation of the self-declaration form and started working towards building the custom GPT. We have always leveraged technology to make things simpler and easier. This tool will cut down the burden on the executives who are managing the campaigns by reducing their time to fill in the self declaration forms.”
