Singapore : SingTel, one of Asia’s largest telcos, is looking for a new agency to handle its media planning and buying across all of its brands in Singapore.
The company has issued an open tender on its website, so all media agencies in Singapore with non-conflicting business can go for the account.
SingTel’s incumbent media agency in GroupM agency MEC.
The closing date for applications is 23 December at 3pm, and the review is expected to be concluded within 12 weeks. Shortlisted agencies will work with SingTel on chemistry workshops, then a shortlist of three contenders drawn up before final presentations.
SingTel has appointed R3, a consultancy focused on agency relationships, reviews and remuneration, to manage this review process.
R3 will be the sole point of contact for agencies throughout the process. It will manage communication with prospective agencies. Interested agencies should contact R3 to register interest and receive a copy of RFI (Request for Information)
The review does not include SingTel’s relationship with its creative agency Ogilvy, which won the account from BBDO earlier this year.
The Singapore based telecom giant SingTel has major operations in Singapore and Australia.
