Bangalore: Swiggy, an on-demand convenience platform, has elevated Sidharth Bhakoo to the position of Chief Business Officer – Food Marketplace. Bhakoo, who previously served as Vice President and National Business Head, has been an integral part of Swiggy’s leadership team for over six years, playing a key role in driving both regional and national growth.
Taking to LinkedIn to announce the promotion, Bhakoo shared, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Chief Business Officer – Food Marketplace at Swiggy!”
Bhakoo first joined Swiggy in June 2018 as AVP and Regional Business Head for North, East, and Central India. Over the years, he has played a crucial role in shaping the company’s growth strategy across regions, contributing to Swiggy’s position as a dominant player in India’s food delivery market.
Before joining Swiggy, Bhakoo began his professional career at GE Money as a Product Manager for Consumer Durables and Two-Wheelers. He later moved to the Royal Bank of Scotland, where he progressed from Program Manager for Business Banking to Senior Relationship Manager. His next career move took him to Vodafone Business Services, where he held various roles, including Senior Manager – SME Sales and GM & Sales Head, leading teams across sales, account management, and customer service functions.
At Swiggy, Bhakoo has demonstrated strong leadership in team management, B2B sales, distribution, channel management, and business development. His contributions have been pivotal in executing regional and national business strategies, reinforcing Swiggy’s commitment to delivering unmatched service to customers across India.
In his new role as Chief Business Officer, Bhakoo will continue to drive Swiggy’s food marketplace growth and lead key initiatives in the company’s expansion plans.
