Mumbai: Digital Women Awards organised by SheThePeople celebrated its 3rd edition at ITC Grand Central Mumbai on November 19, which also happened to coincide with “Women Entrepreneur Day.” Swati Nathani, co-founder of Team Pumpkin was awarded the “Best Woman Leader of a Digital Agency” in the Marketing category. The awards recognise women from various fields who have used to internet and digital media to make an impact in their respective domains. The other categories included leadership, innovation, social impact, disruption and content.
Swati Nathani has been at the helm of Team Pumpkin, a 360 degree digital marketing agency, since its inception and has helped some of the biggest brands in India reach out to their audience using with the help of the internet. Working as the Chief Business Officer full time, she boasts of having brought giants such as Pizza Hut, Nilkamal, Axis Bank, Vision Express, Freecharge and Big Bazaar among others to Team Pumpkin’s plump portfolio. The agency has offices in Mumbai, Bangalore and Gurgaon. On the eve of winning this laurel, Swati said, “It is a great honour to be sharing a platform like this with such an immensely talented group of women who have paved the path for many others. I am thankful to SheThePeople for bringing all of us together and giving me an opportunity to learn and share my learnings. The credit for this award goes to all the women and men at Team Pumpkin who have believed in me”.
The winners were picked by an esteemed jury which included Ankhi Das, Director of Public Policy for Facebook in South & Central Asia; Mohandas Pai, Chairman- Manipal Global Education and Akila Urankar, President, Business Standard. Swati was one of the 32 awardees of the evening. The event was also graced by women stalwarts from various sectors such as writer-columnist Bachi Karkaria, Sapna Chadha of Google, Farhana Haque of Vodafone India and musician Monica Dogra.
