Shell India announced on August 28 the appointment of Mansi Madan Tripathy as its Country Chair effective October 1, 2023. She will succeed Nitin Prasad who has held the position since 2016.
As Country Chair, Tripathy will oversee Shell Group of companies in India in addition to her current role as Vice President, Shell Lubricants – Asia Pacific. She will relocate from Singapore to New Delhi to take up the role, informed an official statement.
She has held other roles at Shell including that of Managing Director of Shell Lubricants India and Country Marketing Officer. Tripathy joined Shell from Procter & Gamble in 2012, where she held several senior regional and global positions.
The Shell India statement expressed the company’s gratitude to Prasad for his leadership and many contributions towards the company’s presence and reputation in India, while positioning the company as a trusted partner and contributor to the country’s energy system.
