Senior journalist Chandrika Mago passed away after a prolonged battle with cancer in Delhi. In her last stint, Mago headed the Mint Lounge desk. She was part of the founding team of the Mint newspaper, having joined the company in 2006 ahead of the launch of the newspaper. She was with the Times of India for close to 20 years as a reporter and an assistant editor.
A passionate journalist, she reported on various beats including metro, crime, politics and government.
She was the daughter of artist and educator Pran Nath Mago.
