Scott Spirit has been appointed the chief growth officer and board director at S4 Capital. In his new role at S4 Capital, he will focus on clients, mergers, acquisitions and investor relations and be based out of the agency’s recently opened Singapore office.
This marks a resumption of a working relationship between Spirit and S4 Capital executive chairman Sir Martin Sorrell. Spirit was with WPP for nearly 15 years and his last held designation was chief strategy officer and chief digital officer for Asia-Pacific. He was also a director of Nairobi-listed WPP-Scangroup PLC.
He left in July last year to join artificial intelligence company Eureka AI as managing director for business development. Even after his exit, he was due to answer questions in a suit filed by now-defunct digital agency Yolk against the WPP-owned Grey Group in August last year, for alleged “oppressive acts”. The case was settled before he was called to the stand.
Spirit’s previous experience includes working for Deloitte and Associated Newspapers. He will hold 135,292 ordinary shares in S4 Capital plc and will continue to be a board member and advisor at Eureka AI
