National: After successful clutter-breaking campaigns through 2019, Shoppers Stop, India’s premier fashion and beauty destination, launches its first campaign for the year with a beautiful Valentine’s Day film. This endearing campaign in association with Make Love Not Scars touches upon the importance of self-love and acceptance for an acid attack survivor. Valentine’s Day is all about gifting your loved ones! Shoppers Stop takes this a notch higher by encouraging acid attack survivors to gift themselves a life full of respect and self-love.
The campaign aptly titled, Scarred Not Scared, takes you through a shopping experience of a young acid attack survivor – Rima. The protagonist walks around the store buying items for individuals who have encouraged her through the toughest of times while remaining non-judgemental. She reminisces how her colleagues never turned their backs on her, how her neighbor calls her a strong woman and how her mother re-instilled her faith in humanity. The campaign goes on to show how the protagonist has learned to love herself again, celebrate her existence and gives herself a makeover at the store.
