Chennai: Actor and entrepreneur Samantha Ruth Prabhu has officially announced her franchise in the inaugural World Pickleball League (WPBL) as the Chennai Super Champs. Representing the vibrant spirit of Chennai, the team aims to make a mark in the global pickleball arena while highlighting the inclusivity and energy of the sport.
As the first-ever franchise owner to invest in the WPBL, Samantha’s passion for the sport and her city is driving the team’s mission to excel.
The Chennai Super Champs will be led by renowned pickleball coach Joey Farias, a name synonymous with excellence and innovation in the sport. The team features a mix of international stars and Indian talent, promising an exciting debut season.
