Mumbai: The International Masters League (IML) is set to excite cricket fans worldwide, featuring legendary players from six cricketing nations: India, Sri Lanka, Australia, England, South Africa, and West Indies. The inaugural T20 franchise tournament runs from November 17th to December 8th, 2024.
Sachin Tendulkar will lead Team India, joined by cricket icons Brian Lara, Kumar Sangakkara, Shane Watson, Eoin Morgan, and Jacques Kallis as captains of their respective teams, creating a nostalgic showdown.
The tournament kicks off at D.Y. Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai with India vs. Sri Lanka on November 17th. Other matches include Australia facing South Africa and Sri Lanka taking on England, culminating in a matchup between West Indies and Australia.
Following the opening leg, the league moves to Lucknow’s BRSABV Ekana Cricket Stadium for six matches, including India vs. South Africa on November 21st. The action then shifts to Raipur, where India will meet England on November 28th, leading up to the semi-finals and the final on December 8th.
With 18 thrilling matches, the IML promises to blend nostalgia and high-energy cricket, making it a must-watch event for enthusiasts. Each captain’s vast experience adds to the excitement of this inaugural tournament.
