S4 Capital launched by Sir Martin Sorrell after his exit from WPP has started operations in India with offices in Mumbai and Bangalore. The new marketing services company has hired former Ogilvy south India president Poran Malani has been hired as India director of operations.
Appointment of Malani corresponded with the launch of Media Monks digital and content practice in India. MightyHive, the most recent S4 Capital acquisition, is also poised to enter India’s programmatic ad market.
Malani has most recently the founder of Fair Fern, a marketing and advertising consultancy. During his nine-year stint at Ogilvy, which ended in 2017, Malani was reckoned to be among the more digitally driven senior leaders at the agency, building a global hub for Lenovo. He also worked with agencies like Ogilvy and McCann, and marketers like Coca-Cola.
