Mumbai: Rural Marketing Association of India (RMAI), the industry body of rural marketers, is organizing their flagship event FLAME AWARDS ASIA 2020, which is in its 11th year now. The event will be held virtually this year on Friday, 23rd October 2020 on Facebook Live.
Instituted in the year 2006, Flame Award acknowledges the best of the rural marketing projects, Initiatives, and practices in the South-Asian region. Flame Awards Asia is today positioned as the most coveted and exclusive award in rural marketing. The event witnesses over 200 entries from across the sectors fiercely contesting in these awards from India and overseas.
This year, the association has introduced three special categories:
- Work of the Decade: A campaign that is being run for 10 or more years.
- Innovative Activity in Pandemic: An activity that has been executed keeping in mind the pandemic situation.
- Academic Institution recognized for its efforts in creating ‘Future Leaders for Rural’
The entries have been judged by an experienced jury comprising of business leaders, brand custodians, marketers, media/advertising professionals, and domain experts in rural marketing, chaired by Mr. S Sivakumar, Group Head – Agri. & IT Businesses, ITC Limited. The winners were determined by Grand Jury comprising Pops KV Sridhar, Founder & Chief Creative Officer, Hyper Collective; Venkatadri Ranganathan, Chief Operating Officer – Nutrition Science Business, Tata Chemicals; Prabhakar Tiwari, Chief Marketing Officer, Angel Broking; Subhobroto Chakraborty, Founder, The Digital Fellow; Aalhad Wadekar, Category Manager – CVO, Greases, Gear Oils &Splt, Gulf Oil Lubricants; Siddhartha Choudhary, Founder & CEO, Helicrofter; Arun Kumar, Business Leader – LED (Lamps, Luminaries & Electronics), Signify Innovations; and Sanjay Gupta, Group Product Manager, Abbott India.
