Mumbai: Ogilvy has elevated Rupa Roy to the position of Vice President of Planning. Previously serving as Senior Planning Director, Rupa’s promotion reflects her impactful contributions to the agency’s success and growth.
Sharing her excitement on LinkedIn, Rupa wrote, “2024 has been a rollercoaster of emotions and milestones: winning pitches, losing a cherished account, bagging Effies, bidding farewell to an inspiring boss-cum-friend, traveling for work, and building a team. And now, a milestone I’ll always cherish – Promoted to VP, Planning, Ogilvy.”
Rupa brings a wealth of experience in marketing communications, advertising, brand management, and social media marketing. Before joining Ogilvy, she held leadership roles at McCann Worldgroup as a Strategic Planner from 2017 to 2022. Prior to that, she worked at RK Swamy BBDO between 2014 and 2017 and began her career with J. Walter Thompson Worldwide in 2014.
Rupa holds a PGDM in Advertising and Applied Communication from Apeejay School of Management, further enriching her strategic and creative acumen.
As Vice President of Planning, Rupa will play a pivotal role in driving Ogilvy’s strategic planning initiatives, crafting compelling brand narratives, and shaping innovative campaigns that resonate with audiences.
