After backing unconventional movies like Dev D, A Wednesday, Rang De Basanti and Barfi during their days in UTV, Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur have now reunited for Pihu, directed by National Award winner Vinod Kapri.
The plot of the movie Pihu revolves around a 2-year-old girl, who is being left alone in an apartment. The film is based on a true story and is the only film in the history of our cinema to have just one character which will be played by the 2-year-old child.
The movie was officially selected for international film festivals such as Vancouver, Palmsprings, Iran, Morocco, Germany. The film also earned the title “best film” in Morocco Film Festival. It was also the opening film at International Film Festival of India, Goa (2017) and received appreciations.

Pihu is a film that has you on the edge of your seat all through, with a 2-year-old child as the sole protagonist! It is a towering directorial achievement by Vinod and we look forward to bringing it to audiences very soon.”
Screwvala said, “Pihu is a unique film. Thrillingly Real. Imagine 90 minutes of a spellbinding experience, can easily be a True Story and yet it tugs at your heart at all times.”
Ronnie Screwvala’s production house RSVP has lined up content driven movies like Kedarnath, Sonchiriya, URI and Karwaan, and a few more, which will be released in the next 12 months.
