Anil Ayroor, former Group COO Insight Media City & 24 News and Flowers TV has joined Reporter TV Network as President.
In his new role, Ayroor will be responsible for revamping the channel’s programming and marketing strategies. He will also be responsible for implementing the AR, VR, and XR news studio in Kochi.
“We are planning to expand Reporter TV network to 9 regional languages including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali, Assamese etc. The network will be spending Rs 800 Crore as part of the expansion plans,” Ayroor said.
He is also the director of Dil Se FM in Dubai, UAE which is also an initiative from Reporter Network.
Under Ayroor’s leadership, 24, the Malayalam news channel was launched with extensive AR and VR technology. He was also a member of the BARC Tech committee.
Reporter TV is a Malayalam language free to air news channel was recently taken over by a new management under the leadership of Anto Augustine. According to him, eyeballs for news domain will keep increasing in India. Nikesh Kumar still heads content as Editor in chief of the network.
As part of the content revamping strategy, Reporter TV will rope in Dr Arun Kumar who was earlier with 24 channel and Smrithi Paruthikkad to the content team.
