Kochi: Tears of joy, gratitude to the selfless and courageous volunteers who risked their lives to help the affected people of Wayanad soon after the landslide struck, and celebration of proud achievements, marked the first-ever Zee Keralam Kudumbam Awards 2024 as the gala event got underway at the Rajiv Gandhi Indoor stadium in Kochi on August 24. The awards night turned out to be an occasion to remember with leading stars of Malayalam and Tamil cinema lining up on a single stage.
Zee Keralam will telecast its Kudumbam Awards ceremony that witnessed many an emotional moment on September 5 and 6 at 7 pm. The gala awards night was graced by the presence of prominent south Indian stars of the likes of Mammootty, Khushboo, Janardhanan, Mallika Sukumaran, Arjun Ashokan, Johnny Antony, Saiju Kurup, Ramesh Pisharody, Malavika Mohan and many others.
The awards night, presented by prominent anchors Mithun Ramesh and Meera Anil, witnessed emotional moments when actor Janardhanan was bestowed with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Mammootty who honoured Janardhanan went teary-eyed while reminiscing his early days in tinsel town as it was Janardhanan who held him close, providing him with the much needed security and courage during his initial days.
Everyone who attended the awards night shed tears as the stars came together to pay tributes and thank the volunteers who took part in the Wayanad disaster relief operations.
The award night honoured stars and serials telecast by Zee Keralam. The most notable among them included laurels for the Most Popular Hero, Most Popular Heroine, Most Popular Serial, Most Popular Villain and Most Popular Couple. The Best Daughter-in-Law, Best Son-in-Law, Best Daughter, Best Son, Best Mother, Best Mother-in-Law, Best Sister from Zee Keralam serials were also awarded. Special jury awards were also given away.
The telecast of the awards night by Zee Keralam will bring alive all the action to the living rooms of its viewers across the globe on September 5 and 6 at 7 pm.
