Ahmedabad: 93.5 Red FM, India’s leading private radio and entertainment network, proudly commemorates the 15th anniversary of its iconic event, Red Raas. Known for its vibrant celebration of garba, culture, and community, this year’s festivities will be held from October 3 to October 12, 2024, at the Milan Party Plot in Ahmedabad.
Since its inception in 2009, Red FM has hosted Ahmedabad’s largest Navratri celebration, and this year promises to be no exception. Attendees are invited to immerse themselves in a week-long extravaganza filled with music, dance, and cultural richness. Continuing the tradition of launching a special garba song annually, Red FM has unveiled “Vhalam Hun Kantadi Re,” an empowering anthem performed by the talented Shirley Setia.
This year’s anthem celebrates the strength, independence, and grace of the modern woman, portraying her as a new-age heroine who navigates life with confidence and joy. The music video, filmed in the picturesque streets of Ahmedabad and set in a historic 200-year-old heritage haveli, beautifully showcases Gujarat’s rich cultural backdrop.
“Vhalam Hun Kantadi Re” is crafted by a team of talented industry professionals, including Rajat Dholakia, known for films like Firaaq and Delhi 6, and Saumya Joshi, the writer of the National Award-winning film Hellaro Composed by the duo Sumant and Aalap under Dholakia’s mentorship, the song blends traditional elements with a modern beat, ensuring it resonates with today’s generation.
Speaking on the announcement, “Nisha Narayanan, COO and Director, of Red FM & Magic FM, said, “Red Raas has been our humble effort to celebrate tradition with a touch of contemporary music and vibes. Last year, we were overwhelmed with immense love for the 14th season of Red Raas, and more importantly, for the song Aave Jo Rasiya, which became an internet favorite during the last Garba season. As we celebrate Navratri, we aim to remind everyone that these nine days are beyond just dancing. It’s also about coming together as a community and uplifting each other – something we have strived to establish with Red Raas. On that note, we look forward to hosting you all and making this year exceptional.”
Red FM invites everyone to join in this grand celebration, honoring both tradition and contemporary artistry as they dance through Navratri.
