A day after NDTV founders and promoters Prannoy Roy and Radhika Roy resigned as directors from the board of RRPR Holding Private Limited (RRPRH), Journalist Ravish Kumar has stepped down from the post of Senior Executive Editor at NDTV India.
According to an internal mail, the channel said that his resignation was effective immediately. The mail read, “Few journalists have impacted people as much as Ravish. This reflects in the immense feedback about him: in the crowds he draws everywhere; in the prestigious awards and recognition he has received, within India and internationally.”
Kumar used to host a number of programmes including the channel’s flagship weekday show Prime Time, Hum Log, Ravish Ki Report, and Des Ki Baat.
Kumar has been conferred with the Ramon Magsaysay Award in 2019. He is two times recipient of the Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism Award in 2013 and 2017, for the broadcast category in Hindi language.
