Mumbai: IndiGo has appointed Rashmi Soni as Vice President – Corporate Communications (Media & PR). Rashmi takes over the role from C. Leekha, who is leaving IndiGo to explore external opportunities after an impactful six-year tenure.
Expressing gratitude for Leekha’s contributions, Pieter Elbers, CEO of IndiGo, said, “I would like to express my appreciation for Leekha for her work, commitment and dedication on Corporate & Brand Communication past years contributing to the incredible journey of IndiGo.”
Rashmi Soni brings with her a wealth of experience, having held leadership roles across multinational technology and aviation sectors. With a career spanning over 28 years, she has worked with renowned brands such as Adobe, Tata Teleservices, Ericsson, and Hughes Software Systems. Rashmi was also part of Vistara’s launch team as Vice President & Head of Corporate Communication, and most recently, she was associated with PayU.
On her new role at IndiGo, Rashmi Soni shared, “My passion and interest in aviation drive me to be part of IndiGo, India’s leading and fastest-growing airline. I am excited about this incredible opportunity and look forward to contributing to IndiGo’s remarkable growth journey.”
