Rajiv Rajaram announced on Linkedin that he has joined SonyLIV as Head of Tamil content. Prior to Joining SonyLIV, Rajaram was associated with Culture Machine Studios as Vice-President of original contents.
Rajaram is a voice-over artist with 19 years of experience, who has lent his voice to over 3000 radio and television commercials. He made his debut as a dialogue writer in Yashraj Films’ first Tamil Feature film Aaha Kalyanam, which is a remake of Band Baaja Baraat.
During his tenure at Capital Film Works, Rajaram penned the screenplay for a romantic comedy bilingual film titled ‘Moone Moonu Varthai’.
Rajaram is also the one of the creators of SonyLIV’s first-ever Tamil original web series, Meme Boys, which premiered on July 22nd, 2022. He also starred as Detective Mathimaran in Spotify’s Tamil Original Fiction Audio Series.
Rajaram has also been associated with advertising agencies like OPN Advertising, Ogilvy & Mather, Rediffusion Y&R, and Moulis Advertising in the past.
As Team Member at OPN Advertising, he was involved in the making of second version of Whistle Podu for Chennai Super Kings, which became a viral sensation in 2010. He also worked on the script for Lancor’s ‘Right Foot’ film, which clinched Gold in Maddys 2012.
During his 4 year stint with Radio One, Rajaram was responsible for station imaging and handling of content for the drive time shows. He was also involved in providing advertising solutions for clients on radio with custom-made brand integrations.
Rajaram is also the Co-Founder of Stray Factory, a Chennai-based collaborative entertainment initiative, which produced shows such as Hitchcock, Great Indian blogologues, Lost Audition among others.
