Mumbai : India’s One of the Top Journalist Rajdeep Sardesai and Sagarika Ghose are likely to resign from CNN-IBN by end of June, as Reliance Industries Ltd has taken over the channel’s holding company, Network 18. Sources says they are likely to go on leave from June, and by end of june they may submit their resignation. As part of the acquisition process they will sell their Minority shares to Reliance Industries.
This development come after the exit earlier this week of three top executives at Network 18, Sai Kumar, Ajay Chacko and few others.
Sardesai and Ghose have offers from other media houses, however Sardesai is considering taking a break for a year to write a book. It was not easy for them with the management of the channel recently. It is believed that the management had asked Ghose to not be critical of Narendra Modi during February 2014, who was making an ambitious bid for the post of prime minister.
