Mumbai: According to reports from The Economics Times, Raj Nayak has moved on from the senior leadership roles at Viacom18.
Raj joined Viacom18 in April 2011 as CEO of Entertainment Channel Colors and He has been in the media and entertainment industry for over 25 years and sphere headed many landmark achievements in the history of Indian Television Industry that includes the launch of KBC in Star Plus that revolutionized TV airtime selling in India with historic ad rates.
Queries to Viacom18 and Phone Calls to Raj Nayak went unanswered till the time of publishing. Reason for his sudden exit is not known yet.
As part of a management restructuring exercise initiated last September, Raj Nayak became the in-charge of advertisement sales operations for the group. All advertising sales heads were reporting to him.
Prior to his stint with Viacom18, Raj had started his own advertisement sales company, Aidem Ventures.
He has also served at NDTV Media as CEO for over seven years and at Star India for 10 years as Executive Vice-president – sales and marketing.
He also actively involved himself with the industry platforms in leadership roles, including The Advertising Club, Indian Broadcasting Foundation, The International Advertising Association (IAA) – India Chapter, and Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI).
Industry curiously awaits the next move of this Media Maven.
