Mumbai: The Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Punjab Kings has announced a new partnership with Kshema General Insurance, a fully digital insurance provider, as the “Official General Insurance Partner” for the upcoming IPL 2025 season. This collaboration marks a significant step towards reconnecting the franchise with its roots and reigniting the passion of its dedicated fan base across India.
Kshema General Insurance, known for its innovative approach to financial resilience, is making its debut in the cricket world through this partnership. The insurance provider has developed a proprietary technology platform that leverages cutting-edge AI algorithms, machine learning, big data, and location awareness to assess and price insurance risks with precision.
As part of the partnership, Kshema’s logo will be featured prominently on the playing and practice kits of the Punjab Kings team. Additionally, an exclusive digital IP, Kshema Secure Hands, will be launched to engage fans and raise awareness about Kshema’s industry-first insurance products. This IP will highlight the best fielding efforts (such as catches, run-saving, run outs, or stumpings) by Punjab Kings players during every match throughout the IPL 2025 season. The initiative aligns with Kshema’s core values of trust, reliability, and protection.
Bhaskar Thakur, CMO of Kshema General Insurance Limited, shared his enthusiasm for the partnership: “We are excited to partner with Punjab Kings as they embark on their journey for the new season. Punjab Kings have always been deeply connected to their roots and have brought joy to their fans with their thrilling brand of cricket. This partnership is a natural fit for us as we, too, prioritize customer welfare with our industry-first insurance solutions. Through this association, we aim to reach cricket fans across the country and create greater awareness about the importance of insurance. We wish the team the best for the upcoming season.”
Punjab Kings CEO Satish Menon added, “We are delighted to partner with Kshema General Insurance this season. This collaboration will create meaningful opportunities that benefit both brands and drive mutual growth.”
As part of the collaboration, Kshema will also launch a comprehensive 360-degree marketing campaign to amplify the partnership and create a buzz around the Kshema Secure Hands digital IP. The campaign will help build an emotional connection with fans across India and highlight Kshema’s innovative insurance solutions.
With a refreshed squad under the leadership of Head Coach Ricky Ponting and captain Shreyas Iyer, Punjab Kings are gearing up for IPL 2025 with renewed energy and a clear vision of lifting the trophy.
