International: Publicis Groupe ANZ has named Adrian Farouk to the new role of Epsilon ANZ chief executive. Farouk will now have a dual role, retaining his responsibilities as CEO of the holding company’s marketing and technology agency Digitas ANZ.
He will lead international data business Epsilon’s local operations, with offices based in Sydney and Melbourne.
Publicis Groupe ANZ CEO Michael Rebelo says Farouk’s diverse experience and leadership at Digitas made him the perfect person for the role.
“As a digital marketing leader, Adrian spearheaded the launch of Digitas in the Australian market eight years ago, growing it from the ground up to become one of the country’s most reputable marketing and technology agencies,” Rebelo says.
“I’m confident that Adrian will be able to bring that same deep understanding of data and technology to Epsilon.” He added.
Farouk first joined Digitas in London in 1999, and launched Digitas Australia in 2012.
He brings more than 20 years of experience in areas including user experience, strategy, eCommerce, consumer research, analytics and measurement and client service.
“I’m excited to bring Epsilon’s capabilities to our clients in Australia, enabling them to take back control of their customer relationships and deliver with greater precision and impact,” Farouk says.
The business’ martech platform is backed with artificial intelligence to help marketers predict, activate and prove measurable business outcomes.
Epsilon managing director of APAC and MEA Ashish Sinha says the business’ launch in Australia and New Zealand will strengthen its offering in the region.
“We’re pleased to bring Epsilon capabilities to this market, further strengthening our APAC offering at a time when consumer expectations are growing and clients are demanding data and technology solutions that lead to real business outcomes,“ Sinha says.
Epsilon enables clients to deliver personalised – and purposeful – experiences at scale.
