As part of its transformation plan, Publicis Groupe has introduced two new management bodies and announced two executive appointments at the Groupe level.
The new management bodies come in addition to the existing directoire which includes Anne-Gabrielle Heilbronner, secretary general, PublicisGroupe; Jean-Michel Etienne, executive vice president, CFO, PublicisGroupe, Steve King, CEO, Publicis Media, and Arthur Sadoun, chairman & CEO, PublicisGroupe. The first body, namely executive committee, will be responsible for the transformation of PublicisGroupe and will “meet in person every month to bring to life the Groupe’s vision and align its assets and talents at the service of our clients”, the company explained in a press release.
It is composed of the directoire members plus:

The management committee will meet every quarter and be fully responsible for operations throughout the company and ensure drastic acceleration in the execution of its plans.
Publicis Groupe chairman and CEO Arthur Sadoun also announce two new appointments, including Carla Serrano as chief strategy officer of PublicisGroupe, and Véronique Weill as general manager.
Carla Serrano was previously the CEO of Publicis New York and chief strategy officer of Publicis Communications. She has also worked with some of the most iconic brands including Coca-Cola, Samsung, Kraft, P&G, HPE and Citibank, among others, throughout her career in Naked NA, TBWA Chiat/Day NY and Berlin Cameron and Partners. She joined Publicis in 2014 and has contributed to the Groupe’s development with Citi and the wins of Cadillac and HPE. In 2017, Carla was honored in the Ad Age Women to Watch ranking.
Effective immediately, Serrano will be tasked with accelerating the company on key areas for growth in her new role. “Her profile is truly hybrid between creativity and technology, which has allowed her to frequently act as the link between our different Solution hubs,”said Sadoun.
As for Véronique Weill, she will join Publicis Groupe as general manager starting from September 1, 2017, and will take responsibility for Re:Sources, IT, Real Estate, Insurance and M&A. Weill spent 21 years at JP Morgan where she led operations and IT globally. She then joined Axa in 2006, where as part of the management committee she was responsible for operations, technology, digital, marketing and innovation. Sadoun said Weill will be a fantastic support for the PublicisGroupe teams in the field.
