&PrivéHD is set to premiere the celebrated Spanish drama ‘Pain and Glory’ as a part of its flagship foreign language movie block ‘Privé World Box Office’.
Internationally acclaimed Spanish director Pedro Almodóvar’s work Pain and Glory reflects on the life of a director who echoes his journey as his career witness’s downfall. Pain and Glory revolve around the life of Spanish director Salvador Mallo (Antonio Banderas) who reflects upon his past successes as he lives a lonely life in his 50s with the decline of his career. The dual narrative and comparison between the miserly old Salvador living up through the depression and illness and the young Salva where he shares a tender relationship with his mother Jacinta (Penélope Cruz), strikes the right chord of emotions with the audiences. The critically acclaimed film was nominated at various platforms including Oscars, BAFTA, Golden Globes, Hollywood Critics Association Awards and lifted the trophy at the Cannes Film Festival.
The movie will be telecasted on November 5th on &PrivéHD’s World Box Office at 9 PM with repeats running all week till next Thursday only on &PrivéHD.
