Mumbai: &Privé HD, the new premium English movie channel from the house of Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd., brings the most critically acclaimed movies of 2016, Moonlight on Sunday, 24th September at 1:00pm and 9:00pm. Adapted from Tarell Alvin McCraney’s unproduced play ‘In Moonlight Black Boys Look Blue’, the movie chronicles the childhood, adolescence and burgeoning adulthood of a young, African-American man, Chiron. Living in a rough neighbourhood in Miami, the movie highlights his struggles as a kid coming to terms with his sexuality, bullied by his seniors and peers while being detested by his mother, who is a drug addict.
Directed by Barry Jenkins, Moonlight explores the other side through sensitive portrayal of complexities of relationships challenging stereotypes at every level. With its brilliant story and powerful performances, it unravels multiple layers of human emotions.
