Prime Video is revitalising the streaming experience with enhancements to its user interface, set to roll out globally today and gradually reach all customers in the weeks ahead.
Within Prime Video’s expansive entertainment landscape, these updates promise streamlined navigation. Enhanced by advanced generative AI, our personalised recommendations now deliver content tailored precisely to individual preferences, ensuring viewers spend more time enjoying content and less time searching for it. Furthermore, identifying movies and series included in Prime membership, discovering new blockbuster rentals, and managing add-on subscriptions have all been simplified.
“We’re always listening to customers and reviewing feedback, and it’s clear that many are in search of a more intuitive streaming experience,” said Kam Keshmiri, Vice President of Design at Prime Video. “With the improvements we have made to the user experience, customers will be presented with an easy-to-navigate entertainment destination where they can discover new titles and enjoy favorites, as well as sign-up to or switch add-on subscriptions with just a few clicks. Best of all, they can do this while using a single login.”
Prime Video offers a large collection of premium programming in a single application across thousands of device types. You can explore a vast array of titles on Prime Video including your favourite Indian and international original series, movies, TV shows, and more, across multiple languages – including Indian-produced original series.
Updates coming to the Prime Video user experience:
Prime Video is set to enhance user experience with several updates. A new navigation bar organizes content into categories like “Home,” “Movies,” “TV Shows,” and “Live TV,” alongside Prime Video Channels and add-on subscriptions. The hero rotator highlights content available for subscription, rental, or with Prime member deals, facilitating quick access to desired titles.
Managing add-on subscriptions is now simpler, with options to explore and sign up directly from the navigation bar. Recommendations are more personalized, powered by Generative AI through Amazon Bedrock, ensuring tailored content suggestions based on viewing history and preferences. Clear indicators on title cards distinguish Prime-included content from items requiring additional payment, enhancing transparency.
The streaming experience is streamlined with smooth animations and intuitive page transitions across all devices, including older models. Living room devices offer immersive browsing with video playback on the hero rotator, while the “Live TV” feature automatically starts recommended stations for continuous viewing. Overall, these updates aim to provide a seamless and enjoyable streaming experience for all Prime Video users.
