The rise of generative AI in 2023 has been a true game changer. No technology has ever been adopted so widely in such a short span of time and it is further expected to affect our world profoundly in 2024 and beyond. Any organization that doesn’t adapt to the changing reality by deploying generative AI will be at a serious disadvantage. At Ipsos, we have already begun the journey. We have set up an internal sandbox called Ipsos Facto to experiment with generative AI in a safe environment. A plethora of internal learnings have been gathered and prompts have been operationalised. We have started deploying generative AI towards internal efficiency and have already started talking to our key Clients about generative AI based use cases to get more out of their insighting process.
In 2024, we plan to take this journey ahead aggressively. Our biggest transformational priority will be to skill & enable our employees to wholeheartedly accept and use generative AI.
There will be three tasks at hand. First, to build awareness about the technology and the guardrails around it, especially from the perspective of data privacy. Second, to get employees to experiment and come up with new use cases. After all, identifying the right problem is at times much more difficult than finding the right technology to solve it. And third, to utilise Ipsos tools to provide better insighting and consulting to our clients. With the increasing concerns about AI replacing jobs, it is critical that people learn to understand, accept and harness what AI could bring to enhance their jobs. We belong to the insighting and knowledge industry. Getting our employees to adopt this transformational tool will be our focus in 2024.
