Staying true to its proposition of “Feel the Other side”, &Privé HDis a place for those who aren’t happy with just movie viewing but love to dive deeper into their souls. These are connoisseurs who go beyond the obvious and feel the other side. The channel was specially designed to deliver a luxury signature visual experience for those who venture into the depths of cinema and its unique on-air Branding and Packaging also won GOLD at the PROMAX BDA India awards within just six months of its entry.
Since its inception, &Privé HD has curated 350 movies with 52 premieres including critically acclaimed and award-winning titles like Moonlight, Lion, The Post, The Imitation Game,A Beautiful Mind, The Wolf of Wallstreet,Catch Me If You Can,Memoirs of a Geisha, Donnie Darko, Revolutionary Roadamongst others.
The channel brought a day-long celebration ‘Privé Extraordinaire’ of some of the best titles all day long on 23rd September. The line-up, which included Suburbicon, Moonlight, Jackie, Pelé, A Dog’s Purpose and The Post, had been specially curated to showcase the infinite sides of some truly compelling tales.
In addition to the offerings on-air, the channel also brings alive the experience of enjoying nuanced cinema on-ground with &Privé Soirée. This initiative brings award winning movies to viewers in an exclusive setting, with the aim of bringing like-minded cinephiles together. The format also includes noted filmmakers and actors discussing each movie before the screening and highlighting the various themes explored in each story. As the start of this on-ground initiative, &Privé HD would be hosting the Academy Award Winner ‘Call me by your name’, at Matterdenon the 26th of September in Mumbai. The movie, that takes the audience through a sweet summer romance between two individuals of the same sex, aims to resonate positively with the Indian audience with the recent ruling in favor of LGBT rights. It would be introduced by acclaimed Indian director, editor and producer Onir and actor and director Nandita Das.
