New Delhi : Prasar Bharati will conduct the 18th online e-auction to auction slots for private satellite channels on its free DTH platform, DD Direct+, on 28th November. Prasar Bharati has set a reserve price of Rs 37 million per slot. The e-auction will be conducted by Synise Technologies which is based in Pune on behalf of Prasar Bharati.
The reserve price in the 15th e-auction was Rs30 million and was raised to Rs 37 million in the 16th auction. Prasar Bharati has refrained from disclosing the number of slots to be e-auctioned in order to prevent bidders from forming consortia to bid or resort to other malpractices, said a media report.
Interested companies will have to deposit Rs 15 million as participation amount on or before 11 November along with processing fee of Rs 10,000 which is non-refundable in favour of PB (BCI) Doordarshan Commercial Service, New Delhi. Applicants have also been asked to deposit a demand draft of Rs 5,500 registration amount favouring Synise Technologies at the time of submission of the application.
Prasar Bharati has urged applicants to provide details of the uplink/ downlink permission documents received from the concerned ministries with the applications to ensure they are not rejected. The demand drafts of unsuccessful bidders will be returned immediately or within a week after the e-auction process is completed, said Prasar Bharati.
