New Delhi: Prasar Bharati has invited applications to onboard licensed linear satellite TV channels for streaming on its OTT platform for a one-year period. This duration will commence once the channel is available on Prasar Bharati’s OTT platform.
Only companies with a valid license from the Ministry of I&B for downlinking/distributing satellite TV channels are eligible for this opportunity. These licensed satellite channels can stream on Prasar Bharati’s OTT platform under relevant guidelines.
Advertisements on the OTT stream will be managed by Prasar Bharati, utilizing SCTE-35 markers. Any unused ad time will feature Prasar Bharati and streaming channel promos. The clean feed of the selected channels will be available on a revenue-sharing basis, with a 65:35 split of the net revenue from advertisements (65% for the channel and 35% for Prasar Bharati).
Broadcasters wishing to stream their channels must provide clear proof of their channel’s genre and language classification. Applications with unclear or conflicting information will be deemed ineligible. TV channels will be ranked based on the DAVP rate card, with selection criteria favoring channels with the highest rates in their respective categories.
