BARC India and Nielsen have released the 8th edition of TV and Smartphone consumption which explains the impact of COVID-19 on TV and Digital Media Behaviour across India.
Prime Minister’s address to the nation on the economic package garnered 4.3 BN viewing minutes, which also was recorded as the highest viewing minutes of the 5 addresses made by the PM on Covid-19.
191 channels broadcasted that speech with a total of 193 million people glued onto the TV sets to watch the same. This was also the longest speech of PM Modi across all the other Covid-19 addresses to the nation.
