The Hon’ble Prime Minister highlighted “CityQuest: Shades of Bharat,” an educational game developed by the E-Gaming Federation, during the 10th-anniversary episode of Mann Ki Baat. This game, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by Niti Aayog, is being created under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting’s WAVES program to raise awareness about Bharat’s urban development journey.
Recognizing the potential of the online gaming sector as a driver of innovation and job creation, the Prime Minister encouraged citizens to engage with such games. CityQuest aims to foster connections among players and promote appreciation for India’s diverse cities and cultures.
Commenting on this, Anuraag Saxena, CEO of EGF said, “We are thrilled that ‘gaming for good’ is getting attention from the most respected offices. With CityQuest, we hope to educate players about the Vikas journey of Bharatiya cities”.
He also added, “Today’s boost from the honorable PM renews EGF’s continued commitment to the Viksit Bharat journey and dedication to partner with the Government on these goals”.
The Prime Minister’s endorsement reinforces the gaming industry’s efforts to position India as a global leader. The collaboration between EGF and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting for the CityQuest game serves as a bridge to celebrate the richness of urban India. Designed in line with Prime Minister Modi’s vision for urban planning, CityQuest champions the brilliance of Indian cities. EGF is proud to contribute to this initiative, reflecting the industry’s commitment to Design in India, Create in India, Make in India, and Make for India.
