Brands’ engagement with the out of home (OOH) advertising segment has been evolving dynamically over the years, driven by evolving new possibilities with the medium and its ability to be adapted in an innovative manner. According to a recent EY report, the Indian OOH segment achieved an all-time high in revenue in 2024, growing by 10% and reaching INR 5,920 crore.
Against this background, the 19th edition of OOH Advertising Awards (OAA) contest will celebrate new benchmarks in OOH advertising. OAA 2025 contest is now open for entries, with the last date for sending entries set for May 20, 2025.
OAA will evaluate entries of OOH works planned and executed during the period April 1, 2024 – March 31, 2025.

New tweaks in OAA 2025
In keeping with new market and industry trends, some changes have been introduced in OAA this year.
First, given the growing significance of Digital Out of Home (DOOH), the organizers of OAA have decided to introduce DOOH as a new category, instead of it being a sub-category under the ‘Special Category’, as it was earlier. DOOH as an independent category now has three sub-categories, namely: ’Best Creative Content In DOOH’, ‘Most Engaging, Interactive DOOH’ and ‘Best DOOH Campaign – Multiple Execution’.
Besides, there has been a change in the sub-categories of ‘Best Media Format Innovation’ category, which is for media owners. These new sub-categories are ‘Traditional Format’ and ‘DOOH’.
Finally, there has been a change in the nomenclature of some categories. For example, the ‘Activation’ category has been renamed as ‘Best Experiential Initiative in OOH’ and the ‘Green Initiative’ category is now called ‘Best Sustainable Initiative in OOH’.
OAA 2025 has 8 main and 29 sub-categories totally.
As is the tradition, the ‘Campaign of the Year’ title will be awarded to the best entry selected from the brand category entries.
Judging process
As per the OAA practice, judging will be done in two rounds – online and on-ground. The judging process is backed by a robust back-end system with EY as the tabulation partner.
OAA entries will be evaluated by an esteemed jury panel comprising senior brand marketing and creative professionals.
Awards ceremony
Winners of OAA 2025 will be announced at the much awaited awards ceremony to be held on July 19th at Westin Powai, Mumbai, as part of the culmination of OOH Advertising Convention (OAC) , the Indian OOH advertising industry’s premier knowledge sharing and networking event.
