Gurugram: OLX India has launched its new campaign, ‘Safai Mein Kamai,’ encouraging consumers to transform their Diwali cleaning into a rewarding experience. This initiative aims to strengthen community connections by creating a shared marketplace where sellers and buyers can benefit from the festive spirit.
As families prepare for the traditional Diwali clean-up, OLX invites users to declutter their homes by listing old or unused items on its platform. By doing so, they can turn their festive cleaning into earnings while embracing sustainability.
The campaign will feature engaging stories of consumers who have successfully turned their Diwali clean-ups into profits. From inspiring success stories to practical selling tips, OLX aims to make ‘Safai Mein Kamai’ an interactive and rewarding experience for everyone involved.
How It Works:
Declutter and Earn: Users can list a wide range of unused items from their Diwali clean-up, including cars, bikes, electronics, furniture, and clothing, making it easy to earn money during the festive season.
Easy Selling: OLX’s platform ensures that the process of listing and selling pre-owned items is quick and hassle-free, allowing sellers to connect effortlessly with potential buyers.
Rewarding Experience: This campaign serves as a reminder that prosperity often begins at home. By selling unused items, families can partake in the tradition of ‘Diwali ki Safai’ while contributing to a more sustainable future.
The initiative promotes sustainable living by reducing waste and fostering the reuse of pre-loved items. This not only helps consumers earn extra money but also brings joy to buyers seeking affordable goods during the festive season.
The campaign has been conceptualized in collaboration with Social Panga, OLX’s creative and digital marketing agency partner.
Siddharth Agrawal, Chief Business Officer (Autos) at OLX India, stated, “Diwali, a celebration of good over evil, is marked by traditions like cleaning homes to invite Goddess Lakshmi, symbolizing the pursuit of prosperity. With our ‘Safai Mein Kamai’ campaign, we aim to enrich the Diwali tradition by bringing joy to people and transforming the decluttering process into a rewarding experience. Not only can users declutter their homes, but they can also make a meaningful contribution to the circular economy by selling and reusing items that would otherwise go to waste.”
The campaign will run throughout the festive season, targeting over 35 million consumers across India. It emphasizes OLX’s commitment to sustainability and community engagement, encouraging users to embrace the circular economy while benefiting from a seamless and user-friendly platform.
