Balaji Telefilms has appointed Nitin Burman as its new Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). With over 10 years of experience in marketing, sales, and revenue management, Nitin brings a wealth of expertise to the company, having previously worked with some of the most prominent names in the media and telecom industries.
Nitin joins Balaji Telefilms from aha, where he served as Senior Vice President & Head of Non-subscription Revenue, overseeing strategic initiatives to boost revenue generation beyond subscription models. He shared his excitement for the new role on LinkedIn, saying, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Group Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) at Balaji Telefilms Ltd!”
Throughout his career, Nitin has played pivotal roles in driving revenue growth across multiple sectors. Prior to his tenure at aha, he served as Senior Vice President at Mirchi between 2019 and 2021, where he was responsible for key revenue-generating strategies. Nitin also held leadership positions at Jio from 2015 to 2018, and at Airtel between 2012 and 2015, where he led marketing and sales efforts. He started his professional journey at Citibank N.A. as Manager – Sales and Distribution in 2010.
With an MBA in Marketing and Finance from Punjab University, Nitin has developed a proven track record in revenue enhancement and strategic marketing. His deep understanding of both traditional and digital revenue models, along with his expertise in driving business growth, makes him a valuable addition to Balaji Telefilms as the company looks to expand its footprint in the evolving entertainment landscape.
As Chief Revenue Officer, Nitin will be responsible for overseeing and driving the company’s revenue strategies, managing key business partnerships, and expanding Balaji Telefilms’ revenue streams across its various business units, including television, film, and digital platforms.
