Chennai: Chennaiyin FC is happy to announce that one of India’s leading paint manufacturers, Nippon Paint India, have renewed their affiliation with two-time Indian Super League champions Chennaiyin FC as their Associate Sponsor for the 2020-21 season. This is the fourth consecutive year of Nippon Paint India’s association with CFC.
Highlighting the strong relationship both brands have shared over the years, Chennaiyin FC co-owner Vita Dani commented, “We are truly elated that our colorful association with Nippon Paint India is set to continue. Over the years, both our brands have kept our fans and the community of Chennai and Tamil Nadu at the forefront of our efforts. That is the real hallmark of our partnership, and in a season away from our fans, it is quintessential for us to continue the trend and ensure they are close to our hearts. And in that endeavor, Nippon Paint India is all we could’ve asked for in a partner.”
Speaking about the association with Chennayin FC, Mahesh S. Anand, President (Decorative Paint), Nippon Paint India said, “Nippon Paint has had a long association with Chennaiyin FC. This is currently our fourth year of association and it has been immensely delightful. The players made us proud by clinching the ISL title in 2017-18 and finishing as runners-up last time out. India is seeing a renewed interest in football and Nippon Paint and Chennaiyin FC have one common goal in the coming months – to try and win the 2020-21 ISL campaign. We wish the players the very best.”
Over the years, Nippon Paint India and CFC have carried out many communities- and society-driven initiatives that have been integral to the cause for both brands. Most recently, in association with Nippon Paint India, Chennaiyin brought out stories of club stakeholders, fans, community members, and citizens of Chennai carrying out selfless deeds in the lockdown through a series of articles called ‘Adding Colors To Life’.
Chennaiyin and Nippon Paint India have engaged to a great extent with government schools and lesser-privileged sections of society, by implementing paintwork, renovation, and meets-and-greets with CFC stars and the likes of co-owner Abhishek Bachchan. Moreover, every season Nippon Paint India has given numerous children the opportunity to enjoy a CFC matchday by bringing them to the Marina Arena and watch the action from close quarters, and get inspired by their footballing heroes.
Last season, CFC players and Assistant Coach Syed Sabir Pasha also visited Nippon Paint India’s factory in Sriperumbudur to interact with workers and reiterate to them to ensure their children indulge in sporting activities from a young age.
As a new phase of their relationship beckons, the endeavor will be to bring more color to the lives of everyone associated with Chennaiyin FC and Nippon Paint India.
