News18 platforms outpace competitors in Chandrayaan-3 launch live coverage on YouTube

The Chandrayaan-3 mission, conducted by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), successfully lifted off from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh on Friday, 14th July .

During the launch, News18 platforms, including regional channels, streamed the event live on YouTube and witnessed a record number of concurrent viewers.

According to the group’s statement, News18 Madhya Pradesh/Chhattisgarh achieved 421K live concurrent viewers on YouTube, while CNN-News18 garnered 320K live concurrent viewers. Additionally, the group claimed that its YouTube platforms surpassed the live stream numbers of Aaj Tak and Zee News.

In June, the group accumulated a total of 5.1 billion consolidated views on YouTube and Facebook.
