Ahmedabad: Network18 launched its much-anticipated Rising Cities series with the inaugural event Rising Ahmedabad, held at Binori Hotel. The event, presented by Maruti Suzuki and partnered by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, aimed to showcase Ahmedabad’s transformation into a dynamic urban hub, epitomizing progress, sustainability, and innovation.
The event gathered prominent industry leaders, government officials, and innovators to celebrate Ahmedabad’s strides in urban excellence. Attendees engaged in thought-provoking discussions on key issues including road safety, sustainable urban development, and local excellence.
Distinguished speakers at the event included Pratibhaben Jain, Mayor of Ahmedabad; M. Thannarsan, Municipal Commissioner, AMC; Devang Dani, Chairman of the Standing Committee, AMC; Nilay Patel, MD of Deepa Builders & Hon. Secretary of CREDAI-Ahmedabad; Hiren Patel, Architect; Parth Patel, Coordinator of CREDAI-India Youth Central Zone & MD of Kavisha Group; Rizvan Kadri, Historian; Kalyan Sunder, General Manager of CSR at Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. The discussions focused on crucial topics such as Sadak Suraksha (Road Safety), Swachh Bharat (Clean India), sustainability, and skill development, with a vision to inspire positive change across India’s urban landscape.
The Rising Cities series aims to celebrate the unique strengths of India’s urban hubs while fostering dialogue on their growth trajectories. Following Ahmedabad, the series will continue its journey across other cities, including Gurugram, Pratapgarh, Mumbai, and Lucknow, highlighting their individual contributions to the nation’s urban excellence.
