Mumbai: Netflix announced today the release date for Academy Award® winner Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman starring Academy Award® winner Robert De Niro, Academy Award® winner Al Pacino and Academy Award® winner Joe Pesci.
Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and Joe Pesci star in Martin Scorsese’s THE IRISHMAN, an epic saga of organized crime in post-war America told through the eyes of World War II veteran Frank Sheeran, a hustler and hitman who worked alongside some of the most notorious figures of the 20th century. Spanning decades, the film chronicles one of the greatest unsolved mysteries in American history, the disappearance of legendary union boss Jimmy Hoffa, and offers a monumental journey through the hidden corridors of organized crime: its inner workings, rivalries and connections to mainstream politics.
The Irishman will have a platform release starting November 1 in Los Angeles and New York, with additional engagements in the U.S. and in the U.K. beginning November 8. Other U.S. and international cities will continue to roll out on November 15 and November 22. The film will be released globally on Netflix on November 27, with an expanded theatrical release in the U.S. and international markets. Last month, Film at Lincoln Center announced The Irishman as Opening Night of the 57th New York Film Festival, making its World Premiere at Alice Tully Hall on Friday, September 27, 2019.
